Simplified ticket structure

Since we are running EuroPython 2020 as an online event, we have reconsidered the ticket setup compared to our in-person events. For the online version of EuroPython 2020, we have greatly simplified the ticket options:

  • Conference & Sprint tickets are for the conference days on July 23 and 24 and sprints (July 25 and 26).
  • Attending the sprint days only (July 25 and 26) is free of charge, but will require a registration.
  • There won't be different ticket sales phases, we will start and end with the regular rate ticket prices.
  • We won't have student tickets - please buy a personal ticket instead.
  • We won't sell day passes - please buy a full conference ticket instead. We'll keep sales open during the event.
  • We won't be streaming the event live to YouTube, but will have cut videos on YouTube a few weeks after the event.
  • We won't have training days and thus no training or combined tickets.

Which ticket type do I need to buy?

We would like to encourage and trust you, to pick a ticket type that reasonably fits your personal situation.

Business ticket

If a company is paying for your ticket and you need a proper VAT receipt (the personal tickets do not include a company name), please buy a business ticket.

Personal ticket

If you are using Python as a hobby, as a freelancer or student and don't need a VAT receipt, the personal ticket is for you.

Support EuroPython

As always, all proceeds from the conference will go into our grants budget, which we used to fund financial aid for the next edition, special workshops and other European conferences and projects:

EuroPython Society Grants Program

If you would like to support EuroPython, please consider getting a higher priced ticket. We assure you that your contribution will be put to good use. Thank you!

Conference & sprint tickets

We have the following two categories of ticket prices for the conference & sprint tickets (2 days of talks, 2 days of sprints):

  • Business conference ticket: EUR 175.00 incl. 0% Swedish VAT
(for people using Python to make a living)
  • Personal conference ticket: EUR 95.00 incl. 0% Swedish VAT
(for people enjoying Python in their free time or as a freelancer)

The conference & sprint ticket includes admission to the EuroPython 2020 online conference on the main conference (July 23-24) and sprints days (July 25-26).

We would like to encourage you to buy your ticket as early as possible. This makes it easier for us to plan for the event and make sure our technical setup is scaled up to right size of audience.

If you have questions about our ticket prices, the process, etc. please check our FAQ document for answers. If you still have questions, please consult our EuroPython Helpdesk.

The price of the conference & sprint tickets includes:

Admission to the conference on the main conference days (July 23-24) and sprint days (July 25-26).

More than 60 talks, exciting keynotes, interesting panels

Sprints, hallway sessions, meetings with friends are all included for free :-)

A chance to vote the talks to choose your own schedule

By registering before the end of the talk voting process, you'll have the chance to vote the submitted abstracts and give your contribution to the final schedule of the conference. Register early to be able to vote!

Recruiting Session

There will be a special recruiting session for people looking for a new job. Easily get into contact with one of the conference sponsors. Many of them are hiring and would love to talk to you.

Sprint-only tickets

Admission to the sprint days (July 25-26) is free of charge, but we still require you to register and "buy" tickets, since that way we can send out the conference details using our ticketing system:

  • Business sprint ticket: EUR 0.00 incl. 0% Swedish VAT
(for people using Python to make a living)
  • Personal sprint ticket: EUR 0.00 incl. 0% Swedish VAT
(for people enjoying Python in their free time or as a freelancer)

The regular sprint ticket includes admission to the EuroPython 2020 online conference on the sprints days (July 25-26). It does not include admission to the conference days.
